And this is me...taken on a particularly sunny March morning. The bay tree has become bent in recent high winds!
An online 'tour' of our own houses, and an accompanying artist's book that focuses on an intimate selection of the tour. We hope that by acknowledging the past, discussing the present and investing in the future we not only develop our own relationship, but aim to raise an awareness of how we are connected to the places where we live, and to understand the psychology that underpins our furnishings, decor and household adornments. Our conversations are shown in the comments boxes.
It is lovely and sunny - I can't quite tell: is the door a blue-grey colour, or more green-grey with brass furniture? The bricks are lovely and weathered, so mid-late Victorian? Is that wisteria growing on the left hand side of the door?
ReplyDeleteI think the colour is called blue black but is more like a dark grey, the furniture is chrome. Spot on with the date, I think the house is about 1890. I wish it were a wisteria, but no, just a common-old clematis Montana, which seems to cope well with my rather unorthodox approach to pruning!
ReplyDeleteClematis Montana is beautiful P ... is that a small shovel I spy, underneath it?
ReplyDeleteWell spotted, it is actually a trowel stood in front of a quarry tile - it has become a permanent fixture (i.e - I never got around to putting it away!). See you back at yours...
ReplyDeleteWell, we now know that the vegetation 'out front' is well tended with trowel.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm knocking on your front door P, are you at home?
